The spot is situated 2.5 hours drive north of Nairobi on a plateau in the Great Rift Valley, amidst lush vegetation on the north side of Lake Naivasha. It consists of three cleared takeoffs – with three ridgelines (S and N ridge approx. 300m in length / E ridge 50m) facing N,E and S.
With Lake Naivasha in sight, the south takeoff has the biggest cleared area and is therefore suitable for toplanding and soaring. There are huge landing areas at the bottom of the ridges 200m below and due its lower elevation of 2100m it can be flown when Kijabe Hill (at 2600m elevation) is clouded in.
